Welcome to the 2017 Korea Electronics Show, the festival of cutting edge technology
The Korean Electronics Show was first held in the national public information office next to Deoksugung Palace under the name of the first Korean Electronic Exhibition in 1969, and this year is its 48th anniversary.
Meanwhile, due to the vitalization of the exhibition industry and the emergence of specialized exhibition centers, from 1979 to 2005, the Korean Electronics Show was held in Coex. In 2005 it moved to KINTEX for the purpose of enlargement. Considering the size, it was enlarged in 2008 in cooperation with International Semiconductor Exhibition and International Meeting of Information Display under the name of the Korean Electronic Industry Exhibition. Also the exhibition has been proudly selected as the sole global top exhibition in the field of electronics since 2008; it has vitalized exportation as an electronic and IT industry specialized exhibition (US $169.4 billion) and has contributed to exhibition industry development.
The Korean Electronic Show literally shows the modern and future electronic and IT industry of Korea from the perspective of industry and suggests the direction in which the industry will head towards. It is a specialized exhibition of electronics and IT which is a feast of cutting edge technology that leads global trends.
Especially this year we constructed a theme hall with cutting edge technology and renovation goods that will lead our future and the latest trends and 3D printing, Broadcast Tech Korea, stage, masterpiece miniature exhibition medical device fusion hall etc. that can attract the attention of visitors. Not only it is exhibiting products, but also visitors and buyers will be able to discuss and experience technology in the experience hall and technology exchange hall under the name of “the Forum where Culture and Technology Meet.”
Also, we will do our best to make this event participatory by planning a ‘Story Tour’ that provide visitors with various spectacles with a story-telling based tour so that buyers and visitors can participate.
We hope you do your best for the development of the Korean electronic and IT industry. Lastly, we would like to give thanks to the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy, related institute managers, and all the electronic and IT industry workers who spare no efforts for the development of the Korean electronic and IT industry. We wish for your domestic happiness and prosperity.

KES along with histroy of IT in Korea
As the technology develops throughout the world, Korean electronic products have transformed their shapes from a simple product, like a vacuum tube radio, to advanced products, like a mobile phone, IPTV and a semiconductor. The significant development in technology and increased demands of Korean electronic products throughout the world have resulted the rapid increase of the productions of the electronic products; Korean electronics are ranked at the 4th in the world electronics production. KES has always been walking along with the 51 years history of the Korean electronic industry and the most important threshold to the international markets.
An investment portfolio for CEO
From 2008, KES has founded a complete product portfolio by merging two areas, 「semiconductor」 and 「display」. The portfolio enables the buyers to acquire as many information of “up and/or down stream” supply chain at one glance. In 2013, over 700 companies from 20 different countries will participate the Korea Electronics Show. The show will be held in 53,541 square meters of exhibition area, the participants will present their major products such as cell phones, multimedia, semiconductors, displays, etc. Also different kinds of convergence solutions will be presented, such as digital kits and digital hospital, wearable computing, and Green IT. Those presentations about convergence solutions will give CEOs the insight of the future trends of the advanced technology and the global markets.
KES is affiliated with major exhibitions in Asia.
Having strong connections especially with Asian Pacific IT shows in Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and China, the buyers from North America, Europe, and Middle East tend to schedule every October as an Asian IT show pilgrimage.
